Windows 11 - Release Date

Hi There,

Just wondering if you think there would be a way for KACE to show Laptops that are Windows 11 ready.

I.e. to check the list of supported processors and TPM Module and assign a smart label.

Think this would be quite a useful feature.

Thanks

  • Here's a link to a batch file to check the compatibility of a machine. You could use that to create custom inventory rule for each device. Then create labels or reports from the CIR.

Suppose Microsoft provided a standalone command-line utility to check for Windows 11 compatibility that produced a text file with the results. You could run the tools using the scripting module of the SMA and upload this file using a custom inventory rule.

as soon as Microsoft releases the real specs you simply can create your own report to get the info.
