Windows Media Player 11

Hi All,

I've configured WMP 11 as per our site standards, using the information on Appdeploy and the MS Enterprise Deplotment tool.

A problem I've encountered is the install leaves 4 folders behind at the root of the C:\ drive. I can't delete these post install via a custom action or vbscript as the names of the folders are randomly generated for each install.

Has anyone encountered this before and if so found a solution/workaround.

Any help much appreciated.

Regards,
fritoz

Hi All,

Sorry to reply to my own post but I would add as further detail that this can happen with other Windows "update.exe" based updates. Maybe someone has experienced this with other windows updates?

Regards,
fritoz
