WIndows update service

Can anyone tell me if windows update service is used at all by Kace? I found some replies that it doesnt need windows update and all sites can be blocked via GPO but I am thinking to disable the service all together. Is there any reason I should keep the service running?

KACE does not use the Windows Update service.
