Wise Package Studio 8 + Windows 7 issue
Hello all,
New to the Wise packaging suite and I'm having some issues getting my first repackage completed.
Just trying a simple test repackaging WinZip. I take the snapshot, and install the application and that goes fine. Then, I take the final snapshot and I get a couple of errors when the process goes to copy files.
The error I'm getting is:
"The action can't be completed because the file is open in System
Close the file and try again.
UsrClass.dat.LOG1
Type: LOG1 File
Size: 117 KB
Date Modified: 3/3/2010 4:55 PM"
I get this same message for the files UsrClass.dat and ntuser.dat.LOG1 as well.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Re-packaging WinZip may not be a good idea, since version after v10 are supplied in MSI format already, albeit hidden inside an executable.
Secondly, you need to set up your WPS clients' exclusion list: the file you have captured has no place in a package, as it's part of the user's user profile detrius.

This web link is no more accessable, and I really want to know more WISE Package Studio 8.0 on Windows 7 (32/64 bit) platform issues sovled. Currently I have one big concern, when using setup capture, I received lots garbages on the files and registries, and so I really want a good file/registry exclusive list on the WISE 8.0 setup.
Anyone can help?? Thanks
