Hi All

Working on Aspen hysys 7.3 and the pre requisite for this application is SQL server 2005 express sp4. The application is under testing in SCCM 2012 and getting some errors as below mentoned by the user

"In addition to SQL error during EDR installation, I have found one more problems with EDR V7.3.2 package on win 7 64 bit environment.  Here it is.

Running the program creates a few additional files and places them on the desktop and/or other locations on the user system.

The problem is caused by installing an older version of SLM Client tools which is used by EDR for license checkout from the server.  I have downloaded a new version of the client tools that has to be packaged with All aspen products. This version of SLM client tools is for win 7 64 bit environment.  "

So my question is anyone has worked on this app before? Any remedies for this kind of error or have to repack the application?

Thanks in advance.

Sorry have not worked on Aspen.

First question... have you updated the SLM client tools the user is saying works?

Generally speaking... If you are having problems with a deployment via SCCM that did not exist in a manual installation, one of the 2 apply.

1. You actually did not properly test a manual installation.  Either the environment or process of setting up the app was different between the 2 cases.

2. Some apps just have issues with installing as SYSTEM, you have to try and compaire install logs to find where the installer is messing up.  Usually it has something to do with profile path resolution and the system account.
