ZENworks snapshot conversion
Hi all,
I am planning a migration from ZENworks 7.0 to another configuration management product of which SCCM is one potential candidate. As part of this project there are 1000 snapshot (.AOT) packages that require either conversion or repackaging to a supported format (MSI). I see Wise Package Studio does claim to be able to convert these - with some exceptions.
Is someone prepared to share their past experiences in this conversion process? Tools used, resources, timeline, cost, problems encountered etc? Happy to take the conversation offline if desirable.
The environment in question is ZENworks 7.0, WinXP SP2, 4000 desktops, Active Directory.
Regards
Kent

The quality of the resulting MSI packages will depend somewhat on how well the original ZenWorks packages were engineered, but typically (after conversion) you may need to do some level of junk cleaning and also ICE33 resolution (if thats an issue for you) because although Repackager will move most of the COM information to the correct MSI tables, it is not perfect.

Two, which of the 32 different messages associated with the ICE03 validation error are you getting?
so that the conversation will remain readable.
