The following command line can be used (the variable %~dp0 used for the source directory):

msiexec /i "%~dp0ActivClient CAC x86 6.2.msi" ALLUSERS=2 REBOOT=ReallySuppress /qn

Typically a patch is applied afterwards. Note that occassionally the initial installation is not complete when the next step which applies the patch is installed. I recommend that a delay be added to avoid this possibility. I used a 30 second delay using the sleep.exe command that can be downloaded.

To apply the appropriate patch the following command line can be used:

msiexec.exe /p "%~dp0<Patch.msp>" REBOOT=ReallySuppress /qn

If considering upgrading to ActivClient 7, note that ActivClient 7 defaults to the 16-digit Windows EDI/PI number instead of the 10-digit DoD EDI/PI number which ActivClient 6 defaulted to. For organizations that have used ActivClient 6 in the past, they most likely used the DoD EDI/PI number within AD and therefore the ActivClient 7 default EDI/PI number will not have the correct association within AD. To resolve this (and avoid changing AD) ActivClient 7 can be set to use the DoD EDI/PI by modifying the ActivClient 7 .msi using Orca and changing the two settings: 'Feature\DeptOfDefenseConfigurationx86' and 'Feature\DeptOfDefenseConfiguration' FROM '200' to '1'.
