To clarify the previous post, you can install the 32-bit version, you just have to install the 64-bit as well. (pick both versions)

Note
It is not possible to install the 32 bit only version on a 64 bit OS.

On Windows XP 64bit and 7 64bit you have to install the 64bit version. If installing the 32 bit version it will not generate an error but nothing will be installed.
