Note

On a normal installation setup.exe calls the "inventorview.msi".

Running the MSI shows message "Autodesk Inventor View 2009 needs to be run from setup.exe".

Msiexec /i "InventorView.msi" SETUP=1 /qb worked on some machines but not all. Strange!

I deleted the row "SETUP or INSTALLED" under "Launch Condition" with ORCA. (But should have created an MST for it.)

Msiexec /i "InventorView.msi" /qb now runs without any messages about setup.exe

Command Line

A good way to uninstall this via the command line or batch file:

On the adminimage under the \adminimage\inventor\x86\ there is a msi called inventor.msi. Using this with msiexec /x will allow for a silent uninstall.

IE: msiexec path\adminimage\inventor\x86\inventor.msi /passive
