Extract the DVD contents and navigate to the architecture you want to install (x64 or win32....why they didn't call it x86 I don't know) and run the MotionBuilder2010.msi file with these flags:

msiexec /i MotionBuilder2010.msi ADLMSERIALNUMBER=<serialnumber> ADLM_PRODKEY= <productkey> ADLMPRODUCTKEY=<productkey> ADLMLICENSETYPE=1 /qb

Once this installation is done, you are prompted for product Activation which is an online Activation. If you opt to not activate, a 30-day trial starts immediately.
