Hi,

Had problem with this software in a restricted WinXP platform. No problem with silent installation but when the user runs the program, gets " Unable to update registry"

solved this problem by granting access for the following registry key with regini.exe

Apply the registry changes first.

regini.exe Voloregs.reg

HKLM\Classes [ 1 5 7 13 17 ]
HKLM\Software\Appname(Cant remember what it is called)
[ 1 5 7 13 17 ]
HKLM\Classes\Typelib [ 1 5 7 13 17 ]

If you extract the MSI file and modify the setup.ini you can have complete silent install. Just modify the following line:

Note that the ACAD_SILENT_LICENSE public property must be set to YES in order for a silent installation to take place. Without it a dialog is displayed notifying the installer of this requirement.

Note

If you have problems with user rights (users must be local admin to run the software correctly), scan the registry with ntregmon (free download from sysinsternals) and change the permissions on the registry keys discovered... (Should be around 40 to 60 reg-keys)
