To integrate with Office and be able to import data from Excel into MapPoint, make sure that you install the Access Database Engine. The installer is located in the ReDist folder.
Run Setup.exe /a to create an administrative install point.
Run setup.exe /qn or /qb! for unattended installs.
Run the MSVCRT.msi after the Setup.exe from the (it is on the CD) that fixes the application.
If your user has limited rights, you will have to activate MapPoint before they can use it. Otherwise the user will receive an error message the first time they launch it.
In my package, I added a post-install script which runs this command:
mappoint.exe /regserver
If combined with the registry keys noted previously, the software should be activated.
