Who knows how many other companies use this but its taken me a while to figure it all out so I might as well share my knowledge. There are 4 apps, which all install the same way. The command line is for example:
dfDSetup.exe /S /W
The /W is a wait till finished before returning flag, like -SMS for installshield. The install will require a file called 'settings.ini' containing a section labeled for each app, e.g [dfd], [dfDM], [dfT], [dfWM]. For each app you will need some or all of the following,
Licence="DF4-1234-5678-1234-5678"
rem For footswitch settings 0 - Philips, 1 - Olypmus
Footswitch="1"
MikeType="6x641"
Location="C:\Program Files\Dictaflow4\Transcription"
GenFileStore="C:\DictaFlow_Soundfiles4"
WindowsAuthentication="1"
Once the apps have installed you will need to script the following:
- execute each executable with a /regserver switch to set them up, otherwise this will have to be performed on first run and the user will need admin rights
- register the controls slider.ocx and percent.ocx in the system32 folder
- set user write permissions to the C:\DictaFlow_Soundfiles4 folder
- set user write permissions to the C:\Program Files\Dictaflow4 folder. The apps save logs etc here
- set user write permissions to the file C:\Windows\System32\EnhControls.lic
