Note

This application at its core is quite easy to package, It has a Base MSI and several plugins which thankfully are also MSI's, The difficult in the package is setting up the customization to the level that the business is happy with. A lot of the customization that is required is controlled by a XML files located in the Program files, System management programs like procmon should be used to assist in the location of configuration files.

Some of my packaging notes are:
- The edocs plugin for version 10.2.2 of the application is not compatible with .net 4.5.1 (And therefore will not install with operating systems that install with .Net 4.5.1 as standard. Read: Windows 8.1)
- It is difficult to remove the shortcut for the application as the shortcut is called on by Control panel and is required, If the organisation enforces the removal of shortcuts it will need to be hidden (Registry Entry)
- Different Versions of applications are compatible with different "Back End" document management systems, Not all versions of the client application support the same back end. (IE. Upgrading to the latest version is not always a option.)
