To customise the package and deploy silently you need to open cmd and navigate to were the package files are. Once there run the following: "ClientConfig.exe /i "EASClient.msi" /u "[CustomPackageName].msi"

HI, I'm trying to disable one feature in EAS client.msi, but couldn't.. can i know what is this clientconfig.exe?.. in my source i dont know this exe... please give the clear install instruction to install the application silently.... - BHuvanesh 12 years ago

Command Line

I used the following method for EAS Outlook Add In Client 6.3.1 installed on Windows 7 64 bit with Outlook 2010 32 bit.

1. Execute the 300+ MB setup.exe you download from their site, but don't install. Grab all the files out of the temp directory. EAS puts every prerequisite they can think of in their and it's total bloat if you only intend to install on one OS version and one Office suite version.

2. Use Orca to crack open EAS Outlook Addin Installer.msi. Edit the Property Table to put in your server name, etc. Save your transform as EASTransform.mst

3. Download vstor30.exe from Microsoft.

4. Download o2010pia.msi from Microsoft.

5. Run the following in cmd.exe:

echo Stop Outlook.exe Process
taskkill.exe /IM outlook.exe /F
echo.
echo Install Visual Studio Tools RunTime 3 for Office
vstor30.exe /q
echo.
echo Install Office 2010 InterOp Assembly
MSIEXEC.EXE /I o2010pia.msi ALLUSERS=TRUE REBOOT=SUPPRESS /QB
echo.
echo Install EAS Outlook Addin
MSIEXEC.EXE /i "EAS Outlook Addin Installer.msi" TRANSFORMS=EASTransform.mst ALLUSERS=TRUE REBOOT=SUPPRESS /qn
echo.
Echo Overlay EAS Default Settings
regedit /s EASSettings.reg

The EASSettings.reg is a key that contains the settings you want the AddIn to have. Here's an example:
