This video presentation offers information about Windows PE and BartPE as PreInstallation environments that may be used to support the deployment of Windows, and also as a recovery and troubleshooting tool. Background as well as the pros and cons of each solution are discussed along with demonstrations of each.

After some background and a summary of the pros and cons between Windows PE and BartPE a demonstration of how to customize both for your use is shown step-by-step.

 

After creating images with both tools, a virtual machine is used to show how each looks by making use of the previously created bootable PE images.
