Dell Precision T3600 & T5600 are not getting to KBE

Hello eveyone,

I have two machines fresh from the box that having a hard time to get working into my KBE.

Just loading dots and flash the error message "Not Enough Memory to load specified image".

I already tried different approaches to fix this problem, reading manuals & forums but still no joy!

Wondering if anyone was expericencing similar issues? please share your tricks and magic!

Thanks in advance!

Regards.

  • In the future if you ask this as a question instead of a blog you'll get more answers.

You can also try the new driver pack.

  • thanks dugullet, sorry first time to post so now i know next time.

i already tried rebuilding my KBE using the above driver pack and still no luck!

also reading the above forum re downgrading bios, our machines are both new release from manufacturer so i don't think they have this downgrade version. anyway, i'll try contacting them and let see how it goes.

cheers. - wsfernandez 12 years ago
    • Another thing you can try is rebuilding the KBE with just the drivers needed for these models. Just to see if you can get it to boot. - dugullett 12 years ago
  • I have the same issue and have tried all the suggestions. It is a known issue and kace engineering is looking into it. - ngbrown24 12 years ago
  • I've had this same issue with newer Dell Latitude laptops. I had to downgrade the BIOS on the computer in order to get around it. - afincher 12 years ago
  • yeah, the kicker is the t5600 is a brand new model and there are two bios optios available A03 (factory) and A04 and both produce the same result. I'm not really worried about other models, but any brand new models like the t5600 might be an issue going forward. The new Optiplex 7010 are fine from what I can tell. - ngbrown24 12 years ago
  • Hello all,
Issue seems to be related to bios. Please look to the article Cory just released.

  • Hi all,

Finally! Just letting everyone know, I already managed to get this working on T3600 model.

I've downloaded and installed the latest BIOS update (version A07) that dell support released last week then rebuild my KBE and it worked!

  • Hrm... I have a Precision T3600 and updated the BIOS to current, but when I load the KBE I still can't see the C:\ drive. - awingren 11 years ago
    • Have you been able to get the c drive to appear during the scripted installation. 'm having the same issue .
      Thanks,

    • Try plugging the hard drive into SATA0. KACE didn’t recognize the drive when it was in HDD1 for some reason. The SATA slots are labeled right next to each one. This worked for me on BIOS A13. - Gary.Cooper 10 years ago
  • E5420 here-going from A08 to A03 fixed this issue for us. - Jordanissport 9 years ago
