Title: Enterprise Desktop Administrator
Design, maintain, configure, test, implement and support client computing hardware and software technologies. Administer various tools used to support client technology infrastructure including Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS) 2003, Microsoft WSUS, Symantec Ghost, Microsoft AD Group Policy, Sygate Network Access Control, McAfee PGP, Encryption Anywhere, CA UniCenter, McAfee E-Policy Orchestrator (EPO) and Remedy IT Service Management. Develop, test, document and deploy software packages, scripts and PC images using VBScript, SMS Installer and Wise Package Studio. Troubleshoot support tickets and assist 3rd Tier PC support with escalated and more involved support issues. Assist in the documentation, implementation and maintenance of client computing standards, policies and procedures. Manage IT projects including the creation of project documentation (scope, requirements, project plans, detailed designs, schedules, resource plans, risk assessments, lessons learned, etc), budget tracking, effort estimating, resource collaboration and meeting facilitation. Evaluate and re-engineer current processes by developing new, more efficient processes and automation tools. Research and develop future client computing technologies for use at AmeriCredit.
Expert-level technical knowledge of the Windows 2000 and Windows XP Operating systems. Working knowledge of Windows 2000/2003 Server. An understanding of basic networking concepts including TCP/IP, Subnetting, Routing, DHCP, and DNS. Strong MS Access and MS Excel skills for generating reports (SQL query writing skills are a plus). Proficiency in technical writing

Good time management skills with the ability to work independently, handle multiple projects simultaneously and possess self-motivation in an unstructured setting.
Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience. A minimum of 2-3 years experience in systems management/administration, enterprise technical support, network administration/design, and/or systems archictecture is required. Technical certification is a plus (i.e. CompTia A+, CompTia Network+, CISSP, MSCA/MSCE) ITIL Foundations certification is a plus.
