On Friday, May 4th, ITNinja published its third update to the site. The following updates were included:
- Members may now change their own email addresses in their profile
- When posting new answers the contribution is highlighted immediately to help confirm success and location of post
- Deployment Tips are now editable by the author
- XML Content and some HTML tags are better supported in Deployment Tip text
- New banner image on front page to highlight Deployment Tips feature (catering to AppDeploy members more familiar with the Package KB terminology)
- Inventory Records on Software home pages will more consistently show details including uninstall strings
- You must now be the author of a quesiton or an advanced member (green belt or higher) to mark questions as answered
- On the About page there is now a link to the ITNinja Launch Webcast
- Content that is hidden from the public (by the member or an admin) now shows the reason it is hidden
- Members who submit spam or inappropriate content that have content removed will now lose any awarded ninja points
- View counts are now showed on permalink pages (question, blog post, shared link, software tag pages)
- Select boxes and rollover/active states on buttons are more consistent between browsers
- Default font size in rich text editor submission forms was increased
- Various SEO adjustments to improve search results
- Various spam protection mechanisms
- Bug: member is now awarded patches properly for contributing 5 blog posts or 5 shared links
- Bug: KACE support page now shows KACE content and KACE software appropriately
- Bug: Number of points to next level no longer reports incorrect points needed for next level (was off by 1 previously)
- Bug: Blog text formats for right-align, bullet points, superscript and subscript now work properly
- Bug: Search by tag results display count correctly now in all cases, even when multiple tags are searched
- Bug: Error sometimes seen when browsing certain questions as an anonymous user
- Bug: Various bugs related to granting or revoking the Blogger and Linker Patches
