This set of release notes is coming a little late as we had some problems with our introduction of the site's moderator functionality. Now that is is fixed and working as expected, here is the full list of the latest changes introduced...
- Advanced (Blue belt) members are invited to become moderators of ITNinja. Moderators can edit tags on content and are awarded points for doing so. For details on this please check out this blog post.
- You'll now see a list of who is following you along with those you are following on your profile's "following" tab
- Emails are now sent to advise you when content reaches certain milestones. Specifically: when a blog gets over 100 views or when a link posted gets more than 50 clicks
- Moderators and DSG Employees are branded with a small "MOD" or "DSG" image by their avatars for easier identification. See this blog for more details.
- New RSS feeds have been introduced for recent links, questions and blogs.
- Migrated several blog posts from the Quest User Workspace Management community
- Hidden items in your activity feed are identified as hidden and do not include a link (in our next release we'll have them removed entirely)
- A new patch has been introduced, the Completist patch. Get this patch added to your profile for providing content in each of the sites key content areas: Answer a question, post a blog, share a link and contribute a software tip. This patch is worth 50 points.
- A new page to browse recent software tips has been introduced along with an RSS feed.
- Corrected a problem where entering words in double quotes would break our new site search feature
- Corrected an issue where RSS Feeds were missing a "link" attribute which caused problems with some RSS viewers
