KACE: K2000 Windows 7 32bit Deployment

Start to deploy Windows 7 systems with K2000.

One question to ask:

License keys, currently, we do not have any volume licnese for Windows 7,and been told by our supplier that there is no such product.

Will follow up the license key settings before we can start to push the new Win7 systems with KACE.

  • There is no Volume License keys however, there are KMS keys and they work well for enterprise/corporate environments. All you need for that is a KMS server/machine and 25 machines to activate your KMS key as valid. - greenerrabbit 12 years ago
  • You can also use a KMS key provided from technet for 30 days, then apply the OEM key provided with the machine. This will allow you to create an image and still have OEM licensing for each machine.

  • Is there an easy way to create a list of keys and assign the key based on the machine? We have about 120 machines and we have 120 keys for the machines. I would like to be able to just create a list of those keys like you would assets in the k1000 and be able to apply the keys without going back and changing the keys. - ohiosoundguy 12 years ago
