ACPI and Non-ACPI HALs
Great article - http://itninja.com/blog/view/appdeploy---imaging-windows-2000
Explained to me why my acronis image from my old laptop (which appears to support ACPI) does not work on my new laptop (no ACPI by the looks). Not sure how a newer laptop has got a non-working ACPI.
Now I might try to disable ACPI in device manager on my old laptop, re-image, and see if it works then on new laptop.
