Adobe Reader XI protected view

From some reading I have done, I understand that Reader is really vulnerable to being hacked and that enabling protected view is a good idea. However most of the users I support run into problems with that and either need help or just click on the bar to make it go away. Is it something that I really should keep enabled?

I also configure computers for the public and we use Deep Freeze that reboots in between users and puts the hard drive back to its state before. In this case does it really matter if I enable Protected View?

Thanks.

Jane

If you are using deepfreeze and you reboot between users you should have nothing to worry about.  We run Faronics in our classrooms and even when someone infects the machine with a virus, a frozen reboot makes it go away.
