Altiris package that checks for the version of IE.
Do you know of a batch file or script that I could use for searching and verifying what version of IE is installed? I need a way to find the version of IE and tell altiris to move forward or stop the current process. Help please

As you have not indicated where the script will be placed, (eg inside an MSI, or via the script called by Altiris), I can only suggest a generic answer. Use a VBScript to check the file version of IExplore.exe which is located under c:\program files\internet explorer (if my memory is correct), and then proceed from there.
Sample VBScripts abound on the internet so just use your search skills to find something you can modify to your exact needs.
