Any hacks to install Autodesk Revit 2015 on Windows 8.1 32bit?
Hi all,
I know Revit 2015 is only supported on 64bit versions of Windows but my boss has also asked me to look at getting it set up for 32bit if possible. I know Autodesk don't support it on 32bit (that doesn't worry us too much). I'm certain I could remove the version checker from the Revit msi that would have stopped it installing but I'm wondering if there are there any extra pre-requisites that would need to be installed? Anyone tried it before?
Strange thing is, when I run through the Revit packager setup, there is a greyed out option for 32bit version but yet Autodesk don't offer it. Any command line options to get to that 32bit option if you agree that Autodesk provide no support?

There is no way to run 64 bit apps on 32 bit machines. The memory allocation will go out of range. But you will run in a waterfall of other errors and failures before you get there.
What you can try is installing 64 bit OS in a virtual machine, then port the application to your 32 bit machine.
But just hacking the MSI, I will say impossible, but I would like to hear if you have any success!
Good luck!

Revit 2015 uses large arrays (for it's models). I guess the developer did want the 32 bit memory restrictions.Revit 2015
