App-V sequenced application's installation error . Please help

Hi All,

I am new to App-V . I am currently using App-V 5.0 . I recently tried to  create my first App-V application using App-V sequencer . The sequenced application had few out put files likely : .xml, .App-v, .msi. When i tried to test the installation of the sequenced application's .msi file for testing purpose i got the below error. I have set the powershell executionpolicy to unrestricted and ran the .msi file once again but still the same error.
Please help to resolve the issue.

This issue has been solved with App-V SP3 release..

  • You may as well use powershell commands, instead of the MSI installer - its better you get used to it now away.

    Guide here on publishing:
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/appv/archive/2012/12/03/app-v-5-0-client-powershell-deep-dive.aspx

One you get you head around it, you can do it on one line with piping.

When doing your testing, do it on a plain jane non domain machine - hey i made that rhyme! :D

Once you pass that hurdle, you can test on target machines. - rileyz 9 years ago
