Application getting self heal for every time i launch the application
Hi Everybody,
I am facing this problem....application getting self healing for every time i launch the application..can you please help me

Check Eventvwr and see which component (GUID) is triggering self heal. Check that component through GUID and see what is there in that component. Apparantly that component's key path is missing everytime while launching advertised shortcut. Fix the component or change your shortcut to Non-Advertised.

Fixing the component issue is fine.. but making the shortcut as non-advertisied is not a good idea I think.. You have to investigate on the issue and fix it... - jagadeish 12 years ago

There is a difference between self-healing and an advertised shortcut and it's important to know the difference.
Check your event viewer and see what is triggering the self-heal, and then fix the problem. Also: is this a vendor or in-house MSI? Have you transformed the MSI?
From a high level, you want to find out what key file(s) is/are missing, then determine why those are missing.
