Buying K2000 Soon "Best Practices before i buy or Tips"
Hello,
We are going to purchase our K2000 here in the next month to month and a half. Can anyone give me some good suggestions on prep or things i should have done before we get the K2000 in service.
Also can i make images before hand so when i get the box i can upload them. If someone has a link with these questions already asked please point me in the right direction.

When I first did my trial version of the K2 I backed up my database off of the trial, and migrated it to my production box. I'm not sure if they still allow this on the trials or not. It's been a while.
I'm not sure how many remote sites you plan on having. At my last job we had 43. You could go ahead and build those out, and get them ready as much as possible. It wasn't a hard process just time consuming.

We currently have 30 remote sites for our hospital. I already have labels designated for each offsite with their computers in those labels. I'll do a trial and give it a try. Did you start making any images before getting the box with say basic builds? - KOLDY 11 years ago

I did, but once I went production I ended up redoing the majority. Sort of a new rev type of thing. When I started with the trial I was just learning. A lot of it looked pretty hacked up when moving over. It didn't take long to rebuild the majority. I'm not for sure how familiar you are with it, but they don't make it extremely difficult.
For your remote site I would suggest reading the below link to get that setup. 30 sites could get repetitive if you are planning on using them all. I would get started now.
