Can I change the url for the Self Service User Portal on the K1000?
We have a K1000 running v6.4. We also have a naming convention for our Servers/appliances. Lets say I name the appliance "k1000-aip.domain.com". When users access the Self Service User Portal for software, they need to type "http://k1000-aip.domain.com" in their browser. We would like the url for the Self Service User Portal to be something that makes sense to them, which makes it easier for them to remember. For ex. "appsatwork.domain.com". Can this be done?
I understand that I can make the hostname of the appliance "appsatwork" to get the desired result, but that name does not fit in with our naming convention.
I tried to use a cname, but that breaks our SSO configuration,
Any ideas are appreciated.

You would do that on the DNS side and create an alias. appsatwork.domain.com would be the alias pointing to k1000-aip.domain.com
You could also under Settings> Network Setting change the DNS to the one you want and leave the web server k1000-aip.domain.com because that is what the agents use to resolve and connect to the kbox. KACE recommends leaving both the same and using a CNAME alias in DNS to share with your staff.
