Cherwell Uninstall and Deployment

Have an helpdesk application cherwell with autodeploydownloader.exe as the install file.  I can wrap this up and deploy through sccm and it installs fine c:\program files\cherwell service management\  Trebuchet.exe is the main app to run.  Unfortuantley sccm has a fail flagg and the application is not listed in add/remove programs.  I wish to uninstall this application and common swtiches are not working /x /uninstall  the application just runs again when doing this manually.  I am running windows 7 & sccm 2012.  Suggestions on how to uninstall this application would be great and how to get SCCM to flag as successful.

  • I know this is an old post, but I too have ran into this issue today. Did you ever find a resolution? I am running Win7 x64 and Altiris 6.9. Any advice would be much appreciated. - bricondon 10 years ago
  • I know this is an old post, but I do have a way of detecting if Cherwell is installed. I also have a way of uninstalling. Let me know if you still need this information. - Bryan Alvarado 9 years ago

This sounds like a perfect candidate for re-packaging.

  • Unfortunately this is an msi-based install. I don't know about you, but I'd do almost anything before repackaging an msi. - smooochy 11 years ago
