Create a report listing 10.13.1 (High Siera) Macs missing the 2017-001 security update
Hi Guys,
Can someone tell me how to create a report listing 10.13.1 (High Sierra) macs that don't have the 2017-001 security update? I can get a list of general applications installed on the a 10.13.1 machine using the software catalog like MS word, etc.., but don't see anything about OS-level security updates. How/where should I check for that?
Thanks,

I have no mac's in my environment, but this KB article on finding a windows patch might be helpful to you? Concept might be the same, I have no idea if patching for mac's is done through the appliance or not. If that doesn't work, you could probably create a custom inventory rule. This page has the terminal command to search for.
what /usr/libexec/opendirectoryd
Then you could create a report based on that field. Hope that helps.
While googling around for more information, I came across this article that has a fix that might be needed after applying the update. It has to do with file sharing on your mac.
Edit: 12/1/17::
On my SMA today I noticed a new KB article regarding this. You should check it out.
