Creating a package with Desktop Central
Hello All,
I was recently requested to create a package for Mitel Connect SP1_214 using the MSI. The company uses Desktop Central and it seems that it would be pretty straightforward, Drag the install into the website and name it but Im having a hard time getting the msi to install/uninstall. In fact, it hasn't worked at all.
I set aside the MSI file and was able to use the Mitel Connect.exe in Desktop Central to at least install/uninstall, however shaky it was.
Install version 214. It worked but left Mitel Presenter 213 (additional software) so now in the control panel, I see 214 but opening the software reveals version 213.
I was able to create an uninstaller with desktop central, but it was not completely silent. One still has to click yes in the prompts to uninstall.
The switches I used for the install were mitelConnect.exe /S/v/qn. I found this when I typed /? There were no tips for uninstalls but I used Mitelconnect /x/s.
I know there has to be a better way and I know Desktop Central will allow you to import a script to use instead but I don't know how to create one. Does anyone know of a good website that can help or possibly offer me any pointers to start my project?
I would like to build a script for Mitel Connect either using the MSI or EXE.
Thanks
