Directoy name is invalid

When I re-save an app-v package by modifiying the package name and root directory name.

The package is getting installed but when I launch the shortcut I am getting the error as "Directoy name is invalid".

  • App-v 4.6 and I changed root directory name in save as option. - rkiran57 11 years ago
  • had resolved such errors by doing below changes
    1. Remove the Working dir element or even by removing the trailing backslash

    2. Sometimes resolving as below also worked <WORKINGDIR>%SFT_MNT%\ABC</WORKINGDIR>

    from

    <WORKINGDIR>%CSIDL_LOCAL_APPDATA%\....</WORKINGDIR>

  • The change I did in the previous package is I added a new configuration file in it and as a new release I changed the name to applicationname_01 to 02.So I changed the root diretory name also by saving it as new package, then it is not working.
    Any solution. - rkiran57 10 years ago

Agree with shweta_kar, i have also faced such scenarios earlier and changing the WorkingDir worked.

Can you let me know the contents of the osd?
