Error installing MSI

Hello there i have this application which had assembly files. I have handled the assemblies via assembly table and have conditionalized the components according to the type of OS they will be installed on. But for some reason i am being shown the following error message during install. Any help in this regard will be appreciated

  • If there is no problem with the permission, it could be a problem with a very looonnngg path.. Try moving your sources somewhere in C: drive like C:\App and try again. - dj_xest 11 years ago
    • Its already on the SystemDrive. I already took care of the long file path. - talonsprem87 11 years ago

    • Have you tried it?

This is another reference when I was working with GAC and never had any problems with installs.. http://www.symantec.com/connect/articles/net-assemblies-basics-and-packaging-techniques - dj_xest 11 years ago
      • I have read this article. But there is a known issue of using GACUtil.exe. since its a third party tool, it may /may not install assemblies. And moreover mine are not .net assemblies , hence, even regasm cant be used - talonsprem87 11 years ago
