getting icon number for an exe that is not installed

Hello,

Is it possible to extract an icon number for an exe that is not installed. I am just creating a shortcut for that exe (copied it to C:\Program Files (X86).

The Shortcut works correctly but it is white.

Regards

You can extract the icon using a tool as http://icon-explorer.en.softonic.com/, but in this case you have to deploy the ico file together with shortcut.

Other option is to add the shortcut into a msi and there you can assign any icon you want.
