Query regarding business objects X1 R4.

I wanted to know how can I set the value of a column as null. And, if I can hide a column based on some condition, so that when I run the report then in the front end that particular column does not show at all, i.e its hidden.

Edit the crystal report in business objects so that you do not even pull the column you are trying to get rid of or do you want it gone only if there is no value?

But its not that I want to get rid of the column forever. The problem is that this particular report has around 50 tables in it. So running it every time will just consume a lot of time and also to view it in a pdf or an execl with so may columns and tables would be a pain. So, to avoid that we came up with the sol that, if for a particular set of prompt values we can hide the columns which are irrelevant to that condition. Can you pls suggest any idea for such a scenario?
Thanks in advance. - asheeta 12 years ago
