How to Open Outlook in Safe Mode? - Best Practices

I'm helping a user whose Outlook crashes after every second email. They don't experience these issues when opening Outlook in safe mode. Currently, the user can access Outlook in safe mode by holding down the Ctrl key and double-clicking the Outlook icon. We're seeking a simpler solution for them, like creating a desktop icon.

Just modify the shortcut in the taskbar, start menu, or on the desktop. Go to properties and change the target by appending '/safe' at the end.
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\root\Office16\OUTLOOK.EXE" /safe
(adjust file path accordingly if needed)

Have you tried to resolve the issue instead of making Outlook run in Safe Mode? That's not normal. You could check what add-ons are installed and disable them to test, one of them could be crashing it. Did you try an Online Repair from Control Panel - Add / Remove Programs?
