How to package Active x controls in cab file
Hi, I have been given a cab file with active x controls and was asked to package it, whats the best way to do this. I would like to have it packaged as an msi. Any guidance on this is much appreciated.

Hi,
try this http://www.itninja.com/question/installing-a-activex-cab-file and have a look at the answer.
This assumes that the cab file has an inf file contained within it. If this solution does not work, then try repackaging it with a tool of your choice (If you are a KACE customer, you can download a KACE license for RayPack)
Cheers

You can install the .cab file using package manager available with windows 7.

If it shows error like "Data of this type not supported" then you need to manually extract the files from the .cab file and use them for repackaging.
