How would I create a report for "bad" (non-business or potentially harmful) software installed recently?

I was thinking of maybe using the 'Uncatalogued' section under 'Software Catalog' but I am not sure how to do this in SQL.

Any ideas?

  • Uncatalogued wouldn't be a good option, it contains any executable that the agent finds on your machines that isn't included in the curated list from Quest. I believe that you will have to develop a way to manually identify either "good" software or "bad" software and base your reports off of that. The software inventory (not the catalog) has the ability to mark software with a threat level, which might be a good option to explore. - chucksteel 6 years ago
