Do you run your script using a system account or a user account ?

We have a similar problem. We cannot update HKCU if using system account.

Take a look at my post:

Are your user-specific settings ADVERTISED?

They need to be advertised so they get self-repaired for all user profiles which login.

Will the users who are logging in HAVE rights/permissions to the keys you want to change? Self-repair will not work if the user does not have proper rights UNLESS MSIs are set to always run with elevated privildges.

When ever you have to put in HKCU keys in citrix all u have to do is put the keys under
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\ Terminal Server\Install , the terminal server citrix will take care of the rest and install the HKCU keys for the users

I know it's an old thread but I said instead of posting a new one.

I understand the whole thing about the HKCU and Terminal server but do teh HKCU have to be moved to the location described above or just copied there?
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
