Installer Error Code 2237
Hello,
Hope i can find some help here, i have very big troubles with installing
new software (wich uses .net framework 2.0 or 3.0), and it says always
the same error 2237...(see pic)
As you can see i tryd to repair (and remove offcourse) the installtion of net framework 3.0,
but i get same error, it is with installing software and removing and repair, so google time
i thought with that error, all say simple ye its a "string" fault in package of installer but it is not
its again something with *#*$*@ Winblows, i have tryd Perfect Uninstaller and thought yeeeeeh
the bloody software is gone but nope when i have a new 3.0 framework installer it says i already
have the package :S so i am screwed, cant use my Vegas video-edit program nomore because
3.0 is now screwed-up:( And new XP is not an option because i have this like 2 weeks this xp...

2237 = Database: [2]. Invalid or missing query string: [3].
Normally I'd say that something is *seriously* wrong with either the MSI or MST you're using. However, it looks like you're attempting to install direct from the web. What happens if you 'Save to disk' and run the saved file?
As ever, ProcMon and verbose logging will take you a long way down the diagnostic road.

For MSIZap, there's nothing to install - it's a stand-alone EXE, although it *is* part of the SDK. Install the SDK on another machine and copy MSIZap.EXE to a pen drive or network location.
As for ProcMon, it defaults to showing you ALL the processes running on your machine, but it's a trvial matter to exclude those which you don't want to view. Stop the capture (Ctrl+E), right-click with the cursor over the process name and then select 'Exclude [name_of_process]'. Restart the capture (Ctrl+E).
