installshield editor and orca
HI, i wanna edit the installation database of a package, even i can edit in Install shield editor, than whats the reason behind using the ORCA, simply its other tool , through that we can edit, or we cant edit everything in Install shield, because of that we should use ORCA? please dont get irritate,

ORCA is a free tool whereas installshield is licensed. WIth orca u can make some simple modifications to the msi database.

To add to hrs2cool ,when you make changes in MSI tables,Orca saves only that particular table and other tables are not saves when complied and this would not increase the MSI size where in using Install shield editor the size would go on increasing based on no of times you compile the MSI.
2nd reason for using Orca is its easy to see what changes you have made in a MST or even to open a MSP file its easier to see the details,
Validation by Orca would also have a upper hand as they would have the latest .cub file(Provided you have the latest version of Orca).
