Is there a vb or powershell script that can be used to list out the devices that a server can boot from?

Is there a vb or powershell script that can be used to list out the devices that a server can boot from? It is necessary to restrict the bootable devices to Fixed drives or SAN unless the user has a BIOS Password or if there is DR activities.

We need to find a list of all the devices the machine can boot from and then put in the restrictions if it is not obliging to the policy.

  • you usually can place a bios level restriction on most systems of allowed boot devices without an admin password. - SMal.tmcc 10 years ago
