K2000 Post Installation Task -> K1000 5.3.53177 agent cmd line
I'm adding a new Post Install task on our K2K for the K1000's 5.3.53177 agent, but the command lines I've found are different. Maybe both work, but I want to be sure I'm not losing settings if I change the cmd line. This is a post install task for Scripted OS installs from our K2K box so it's only our Help desk techs that will do it. I like to use the silent cmd in case any other techs pull it for a one off install or push. That said, for the purpose of the Post install task, it doesn't have to be silent, though I prefer it.
Q 1) Is the old cmd line still usable for the new 5.3.53177 agent?
Q 2) If I use the other cmd line starting with msiexec, will it default to the same ssl and amp settings as my old cmd line?
Ye old cmd line from the 5.3.47657 agent: ** KInstallerSetup.exe -server=SERVERNAME.LBL.gov -ssl_enabled=0 -amp_ssl=0 -display_mode=silent **
The suggestion cmd line from the link below: ** msiexec /i ampagent-ampagent-5.3.53177-x86_SERVERNAME.LBL.gov.msi /qn **
This link is close to an answer, but I'm not clear due to the cmd line descrepincies.

I am using
start /wait msiexec /qn /i "\\kbox\client\agent_provisioning\windows_platform\ampagent-5.3.53177-x86.msi" HOST=kbox.tmcc.edu

I like the wait switch at the start, but why enter the full path to the msi? The post installation tasks have the file uploaded so all that should be needed is the command line.
Please correct me if I'm mistaken, but would the command line below suffice for your Post Installation task with the msi uploaded to that task?
Also on a sort of side note, did you find that the quotes were necessary for the path with no spaces? I've had similar issues for other deployments with Kace.
The command line below:
start /wait msiexec /qn /i "ampagent-5.3.53177-x86.msi" HOST=kbox.tmcc.edu - murbot 12 years ago -
I do not upload files to the k2000 to save on disk space. and I always put the quotes in from habit, then I never run into the "spaces" problem. your line above should work fine if you upload the file - SMal.tmcc 12 years ago

the other thing you can is rename the msi, see
