K2000 - USMT scan question
Hello, wanted to see if there is a way to restrict what user states can be exported and imported from a source machine to put into the destination machine? For e.g. if a machine has had users who are no longer with the company we don't want to move their profiles over to a new Windows 10 machine
Thanks

That means you will have to manually select what profiles you want to keep before starting the deployment.
If want to do this automatically... that would need some kind of good\custom XML scan template. - Channeler 5 years ago
See:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/deployment/usmt/usmt-xml-reference
and
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/deployment/usmt/usmt-scanstate-syntax
If you want to select the profiles manually, go to library, edit your Scan template, and remove the checkbox from "Captured all user states", removing that will force USMT to ask you which one of the detected profiles in the Device, you would like to keep. - Channeler 5 years ago
Please share how USMT can be done with KACE. Thank you! - ranchristian 5 years ago
with the SDA you can upload the USMT tool into the server directly from the Microsoft's ADK tools.
