KACE Agent Deployment
I wanted to know if anyone is having an issue deploying the KACE agent in their environment. I created a GPO with the agent msi file. Added each pc to the group and waited for my users to reboot. For some reason some of the pcs still haven't taken the agent.

Answer Summary:
Provisioning will fail because there is already an agent installed. There is a mechanism for agent upgrades in the K1000. How to enable automatic agent upgrades: Settings>K1000 Agent>Agent Updates from KACE>Enabled Also check the box for "Update Broken Agents". PLEASE NOTE: If you have multiple organizations, you will need to do this for each one.

After the upgrade to 5.4 we tried to use provisioning. The machines that were 5.1 or no client took it fine, the machines with 5.3 installed told us they were already up to date. I ended up creating a kscript to push to those machines.

Thank you for this. I couldn't figure out why my agents weren't updating from 5.3 to 5.4 - GeekSoldier 11 years ago
