Microsoft Dynamics 2011 for Oultook - Silent Install

I'm trying to install Microsoft Dynamics 2011 for Outlook silently. I have noticed that when Windows Update serves is enabled, it download latest security update automatically and install with main client setup. As we don't want to automatically download and install latest security patch, I have tried each commandline switch which Microsoft has mentioned. But it's still downloading and installing it.

Below is the screen shot which is our requirement.

Please help me if anyone has encountered and fixed this issue.

Thanks,

Dinesh

the /P didn't work then?

/P

By default, the Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Outlook Setup program will attempt to download updates from a Microsoft site on the Internet. Using the /P parameter without a path value (not recommended) will turn off the update Setup feature and updates will not be downloaded and applied. Alternatively, you can specify this parameter with a location, such as the local computer or a share, to an update file to apply to update the Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Outlook Setup program. The path value must be in quotation marks.

Comments:
  • Tried /P as well, but this doesn't seem to disable the updates, that is, it does when installing "interactively" (so log on as admin and execute the command line), but not when trying to deploy through, e.g., SCCM. Bloody nuisance... - Jonassis 10 years ago
