Need .bat to email RE: windows service
I have been searching and searching and have been unable to find anything even CLOSE to what I am looking for.
I need a batch script that will send an email out when the server's UPS is down to 50% battery power. We are using the Uninterruptible Power Supply Manager that is a service in most Windows platforms (Computer Manager -> Services -> Uniterruptible Power Supply). There is a setting in the manager in the Alarms tab that will allow you set the % that you want to be alerted to and then you click on Alarm Action, you have the option to run a program which you can configure.
So, I need a batch file that will run when the UPS is at 50% and it will send an email out to alert off-duty employees that the battery life is at a critical point.
ALL help is GREATLY appreciated!!!

I think you would be hard-pushed to create mail-sending batch file unless you locate an email client which has a command line interface. Use VBScript instead. There are many, many examples available for download but I've used an edited version of the script available here http://www.motobit.com/tips/detpg_send-email-from-asp/ before.
