New Optiplex 7090 comes with default " raid " turn on in the bios. Getting apply image error. Need help!

Hey guys,

Hope all is well.

I cant figure out what script to write to be able to image our new Optiplex 7090 that comes default " raid on " turned in the bios. Our temporary solution is to go to the bios disable raid and enable ACHI and K2000 images without issue. But I want to figure out how we can image while raid turned on in the bios. I have tried multiple scripts that is available on Kace 2000 ( our Kace 2k is version 7.2.97 ) .

A little background information. The image that have worked for us or the past few years . I have captured it on a VM . I captured C: only and for Windows 10 I have used

[DISK] Create BIOS/UEFI Partitions

[DISK] Apply BIOS/UEFI Partitions without any issues.

When I image with raid on, it fails at " apply image " giving me error code : Apply image failed : 4294967295

Anything will help me to go to right direction? thank you!

I had this same issue when imaging a 7090. Once I updated the SDA with the latest WinPE driver pack from Dell and created a new KBE everything worked as it should. You can get the latest driver pack (A24) from here, https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/en-us/000108642/winpe-10-driver-pack.

Good luck!

  • Thank you!

This looks like its updated directly from Dell site. on K2000 the latest package is dell-winpe10-a22 but on Dell its A24 .

Do i unpack this and replace my \\SDA IP\drivers\kbe_windows_x64 with the new ones?

Thanks will try this now. - Sarkis 3 years ago
