Oracle 8.x silent deinstall?

Hi. Has anyone tried a silent uninstall with response file for the 8.1.7.0 client and the OUI? I can't get either of them to work. I look in the Inventory\logs directory and something is happening when I run, but no errors are recorded and nothing is deinstalled.

I'm running on Windows XP Pro SP1 on a P3 machine.

thanks
david

Here's the response file I'm using (from the clientappuser.rsp template):

Have you tried INSTALLING with the same rsp file on a clean machine?

See if that works, and maybe tell you if there's a problem with the rsp file.

I had lots of problems with the rsp files and had to edit them because the ones I generated from a silent script did not work as formatted.
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
